All new Maruti Suzuki Swift is only a few weeks away from launch at the Auto Expo 2018 and while there had been reports doing rounds of Maruti dealers accepting bookings unofficially, it is now confirmed that the bookings for the new Swift have been opened officially. Maruti dealers will accept bookings for the new Swift starting today at a token amount of Rs 11,000. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift is perhaps the most anticipated car launch of this year. The Swift has continued to feature among the top five best selling cars in India for over a decade, and now it is set to come in a brand new design.

New Maruti Suzuki Swift will be based on the fifth generation Heartect platform, which will offer more strength, along with providing more agility to the whole package improving the power-to-weight ratio. The all-new Swift is wider, compact and with longer wheelbase allowing more cabin space, headroom as well as luggage space.
The all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift will come with a K12 VVT engine and DDiS 190 engine. These engines have been tuned for better performance, coupled with balanced suspensions for better ride and comfort. The all-new Swift is more aerodynamic with improvement in wind resistance (coefficient of drag) leading to more fuel efficient and better performance. It will now be available with Maruti Suzuki’s Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology in both petrol and diesel trims.
Maruti Suzuki Swift will be available in a total of eight variants, four of which will be petrol and four diesel. There will be six colour options on offer, of which Prime Lucent Orange is brand new.
In terms of safety, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift embodies Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) for occupant protection and complies with frontal offset and side-impact regulations and meets advanced regulations for pedestrian safety. Dual airbags and ABS with EBD and ISOFIX (child seat restraint system) are standard.
