Benelli to showcase three new mid-segment motorcycles at EICMA: 250cc, 400cc and 750cc parallel-twin motorcycles headed to India

With few days left for the 2017 EICMA, various motorcycle manufacturers are gearing up to showcase their concepts and new launches. Benelli has announced that they will reveal 250cc, 400cc and 750cc parallel-twin motorcycles at the 2017 EICMA, according to an interview with Dante Bustos, Benelli Marketing Director for Americas, Asia and Africa regions by Paultan.org. Also, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer is planning to expand 450cc and 750cc segments with a new frame. In addition, Benelli is also working on smaller segment motorcycles 150cc and 250cc, single-cylinder. The company has already filed a patent for a 150cc motorcycle, which is BJ150-31, wherein the ‘BJ’ hints that the motorcycle will be sold under Benelli brand, although it has been designed by its owner ‘QianJiang’, a Chinese group. The company will also expand its TRK adventure motorcycle range with 250cc to 750cc displacement. Benelli will showcase ten new models at 2017 EICMA and will launch its new 250cc,400cc and 700cc models by the end of 2018 or early 2019. Currently, in India, Benelli along with DSK sells five models in its line-up-TNT 25, TNT300, 302R, TNT600i and TNT600GT. The manufacturer is planning to increase its product portfolio in the country by introducing Leoncino and TRK502.
In addition, DSK Benelli is also planning a new 300cc-400cc displacement motorcycle, which is expected to be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. However, the power and torque figures are not confirmed and it is believed that the new motorcycle might get a single-cylinder engine and will be based on a trellis frame. DSK Benelli might showcase its new line up at the 2018 Auto Expo and will launch these models by the end of the year in India.
