InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa received its first electric vehicles (EVs) on Friday as part of the hotel group’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and promoting eco-friendly practices across its properties.

FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels & Resorts have purchased three fully electric vehicles. Two will be based at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa and one will be based at the Grand Pacific Hotel Suva.

The adoption of electric vehicles by FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels reflected a global trend towards sustainable transportation.

According to Goldman Sachs Research, EVs are projected to constitute about half of new car sales worldwide by 2035.
